Little Sisters
The Little Sisters program introduces little girls, ages 5-10, to an
experience that they will remember for the rest of their lives. In the
process, each Little Sister is paired with a Miss Placentia candidate
and a special friendship is forged over a 3-4 month period. Included in
the program is an introductory pizza party and a special tea and crafts
party. More recently, the reigning Miss Placentia has been the etiquette
teacher for our tea parties. One of the spectacular components to the
Little Sister program is the dance routine that the little girls learn
and perform on the night of the Pageant. On that same night, the Little
Sisters present and escort their Miss Placentia candidate (Big Sister)
in the evening gown competition. The Placentia Scholarship Pageant has
included the Little Sister program for about 15 years thus far and the
total cost to the parents of a Little Sister is $25 for her
participation. The theme is always FUN for all involved.
