The city of Placentia has been more than gracious through out my
reign as Miss Placentia’s Outstanding Teen. Thank you for allowing me to
attend numerous city events such as the Heritage Day Parade, and having
me emcee and the concerts in the park this summer. You don’t know the
impact that these events have had on my life. I was so proud to
represent this city at the Miss California’s Outstanding Teen pageant
where
I took 1st Runner-Up to the state titleholder and won best overall
interview. Thank you for that once in a lifetime opportunity, and I hope
I made you proud. To my biggest advocates in life, my loving and
supportive family, I could never thank you enough. Amanda and Michelle,
you’re the best big sisters a girl could ever ask for. All of the early
mornings of hair and make up don’t even begin to explain the support
that you’ve given me. Mom and dad, thank you for being willing to give
up your world for me at any cost. I’d be lost with out you. And Grandma,
I’m convinced that you’ll be young forever. You’re the most supportive
and fun Grandmother in the world! Thank you all for always being there
when I need you, or even when I think I don’t. I want to thank my
wonderful sponsor, Mandel Jewelers, for supporting me from the beginning
of my journey to the very end. Without you and the many others that have
helped me along the way, I would have never come as far as I have. Thank
you to everyone who donated their time, money, or loud cheers at any
event. I was always sure the Placentia Team would have the largest fan
club in the crowd. To the Krinke Family, Lynda, Gary, Jo, and Bentley-
thank you, thank you, thank you! Lynda, you are one of the strongest
people I know and the best pageant mommy. You’ve supported me and helped
with everything I could have ever needed. I can honestly say that you
and your family have changed my life and I couldn’t have imagined this
year without your constant loving support. I know that there will be
plenty more fun for us in the future. Jordan Krinke, Miss Placentia
2009, you constantly amaze me in all that you do. You have become more
than a friend, but a sister. God paired me with the perfect Miss
Placentia, and our dynamic duo will not be forgotten. I’ve been so
blessed to work with you, and I’m positive that this is only the
beginning of an exciting life ahead. Karen Urell, thank you for all of
the long days spent finding the perfect wardrobe! Thanks to your gifts
for color and matching, I went to Fresno feeling confident and poised. I
also want to extend my gratitude to the rest of the committee, Tara
Guthrie, Sabrina Anderson, and Mary Bette for you time and commitment to
this program; you truly make it an unforgettable one. Pat and Sharon
Cordes, thank you for all of the interviews in preparation for the state
pageant.
Because of all of you help and practice, I was able to shine through my interview in Fresno. To Jocelyn Williams, I don’t even know where to begin. Thank you for the shopping sprees, the interview tips, the words of encouragement, and for polishing me to perfection. You and your beautiful daughter, Paige, have inspired me in every way through out my year. You’re dedication to this program has taught me its importance, and I hope to continue to be a part of your life in the future. Thank you! To the Baldwin Family, my gratitude for your constant support and help is never ending. To Stephanie, thank you for being such an incredible companion during my journey through Fresno. Glenn, thank you for escorting me around to different events and decorating the website so that it looks as stylish as we do! And Kathi, you have truly been a blessing in my life. You have put your whole heart into helping young women through this organization, and it has made the world of a difference in me. I could never express how grateful I am for having the opportunity to work in this program with you. Thank you for everything, I’m so glad to be one of your many pageant daughters. To Miss Placentia’s Outstanding Teen 2010, as a brand new chapter of your life opens, I hope that you take in every moment with open arms. Your year passes by faster than you can imagine, so cherish every moment that you have. Though my year as Miss Placentia’s Outstanding Teen has come to an end, my new friendships and memories have not. I hope to have made a difference to lives in the city of Placentia, as it has made an immeasurable difference in mine. Love and God bless,
Jamie Gerhardt
