Jamie Gerhardt, Placentia's Outstanding Teen 2009
She is 17 years old,
attends Valencia High School. Her scholastic/career ambition is to
obtain a college degree from New York University and become a
firefighter. Jamie's scholastic honors include International
Baccalaureate Program; Advanced Placement Courses; Richard Nixon
Geography Test Award; President’s Award two years; Reflections Award
District Level for photography, poetry, and song-writing. She is a Devil
Pups Marine Corps Graduate; Professional Dancer for Woman’s National
Basketball Association (WNBA) Los Angeles Sparks; Dance experience with
Nevada Ballet Company, Jillana’s (Taos, New Mexico), Los Angeles Ballet
Company, and Tanz-U Ballettschule (Germany); Summer Intensive with Radio
City Rockettes in New York; FBI National Academy Youth Leadership
Program Graduate (Quantico, Virginia); Franklin Covey 7 Habits of
Highly Effective Teens seminar
Her platform is "Support Our Troops". Jamie's talent is Jazz en Point. Her Sponsor is Mandel Jewelers.
For the 3rd year in a row Placentia's Teen wins Outstanding Interview Award
On June 26th Jamie received the award for outstanding interview. She was recognized out of twenty six local representatives for her competence, personality, intelligence, and style during the eight minute interview. Jamie went on to be named 1st Runner-up to California's Outstanding Teen.
