When I heard my name called as Miss Placentia’s Outstanding Teen 2009, I could feel the sensation of joy rushing through my body, knowing the loving family I would spend the next year of my life beside. What I didn’t see coming, were the skills I would take away from this program, the pride of holding the title, and the warm hearted people that would continuously walk into my life, all to go along with the crown placed on my head.
